These days no one dare asks, “who?” when talking about a certain English rock band that first formed in 1964. In fact The Who tickets have become so popular since the days when the rock group first formed that fans have to start searching months in advance before their tour to secure a pair of tickets. The Who have achieved international fame, mainly because of their extremely energetic live performances that ignited excitement among their followers throughout the 1960s and 1970s and on into today. They are still considered on of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.

The Who initially achieved their fame thanks to their wild stage antics which involved repeated instrument destruction and much head banging and thrashing about. During this time they were most prominent in the United Kingdom, but soon crossed the ocean to the United States where they become popular after the released of their single “I Can See For Miles,” in 1967. From then on they became a regular household name in the U.S. and went on to release a series of albums, all of which would receive high marks on the charts. Those albums included: Tommy, Live at Leeds, Who’s Next, Quadrophenia and Who are You. The members where all dedicated to ensuring that their devoted fans did not lose interest in their type of hard rock and The Who toured continuously and made sure to have plenty of international dates scheduled. The Who tickets were fast becoming hot commodities in the world of rock music.

In 1978 The Who suffered a major setback when drummer Keith Moon died. Although his death was a sad and unfortunate event, not only to the remaining band members, but to all of The Who’s fans, the band continued to record and they released two more studio albums after Moon died. Those were Face Dances and It’s Hard, both released in the early 1980s, with new drummer Kenney Jones. The band decided to officially disband in 1983, although they still appear at numerous special events around the globe and they also have come back together for reunion tours.

The Who is one of those rock and roll bands that will never be forgotten. They made their mark on musical history and continue to write the pages of their story even on into today. Their performances are one of a kind and you will be sure to completely become immersed in the music of The Who. Get your own pair of The Who tickets as soon as possible.
