Cubs Tickets or Mavericks Tickets Are Available!

Anna Woodward asked:

In times past, when you wanted to obtain tickets for a popular sporting event you had essentially two choices; you could wait in line at the box office for a very long time and hope to get your tickets before they were sold out, or you could purchase them the day of the event, for a high price, from a ticket scalper. Thankfully, today with the Internet, you can much more easily obtain those hard-to-get tickets. Buying tickets online is fast, secure, and easy to do, as long as you use a reputable ticket dealer.

The first place most people think of to look for tickets is popular auction websites. These sites are fine for tangible goods, but they are questionable in the area of ticket sales. Unscrupulous sellers often have fake tickets printed and sell them at auction for a ton of cash.

Nothing is worse than showing up to the Chicago Cubs game or to the famed Kentucky Derby and finding out your tickets are fake! You are out the money you paid for them, you have to miss the event, and how completely embarrassing trying to explain why you have fake tickets.

A better option than an auction site is to purchase your tickets from a reputable online ticket seller. By doing a simple online search for something like “Dallas Mavericks tickets,” you will come up with literally thousands of online ticket sellers you can potentially work with.

At this point the problem becomes figuring out which online ticket seller is genuine and which is not. How do you do that and insure that you do not get ripped-off in the process?

There are some simple things you can do to avoid the unscrupulous sellers. The first thing you should always do when attempting to purchase tickets online is to deal with a reputable company with a physical address and phone number where you can contact the company any day during their regular business hours.

When you call you should reach the company itself and not an answering machine or answering service. You should be able to call and ask questions, and the person you are speaking with should be able to help you themselves and not have to have someone return your call.

If you are told someone will need to get back to you, then you should immediately deal with another company, as this is a big red flag that you could be scammed!

Any online ticket seller you deal with should be a member of the National Association of Ticket Brokers as well as the Better Business Bureau. They should be members in good standing, and they should be able to provide you with references to check about their business if you ask for them.

Again, if they are unable to provide you with references, or are not members in good standing with both associations previously listed, then you should deal with another company.

Online ticket sellers are businesses and should be very professional in their associations and in their customer service when you speak to them. If they are not then that is another red flag that you may be taken advantage of.

Whether you are looking for NFL tickets, baseball, basketball, horse racing or other event tickets, you will want to make sure you are dealing with a reputable seller. By using your common sense and the tips listed above, you will be able to safely and securely purchase your event tickets. Enjoy your event!

Al Terry asked:

The Chicago Cubs also known as “The Cubs” enjoy great fan-following and thus there is a great demand for Cubs tickets during the season. The Chicago Cubs are a professional baseball team based in Chicago, Illinois. The cubs are members and champions of the Central Division of Major League Baseball in the National League. The first game was played by the club in the year 1916 at Wrigley Field.

The Winnings And Losses

The great demand of the Cubs tickets can be owed to the early successes of the club setting a record of 9756 victories – for a franchise in one city – through the 2004 season. Nicknamed as the Cubbies, the Cubs are currently managed by Lou Piniella. Under the managerial-ship of Chance, the Cubs won four pennants and two title of the World Series in a span of five years. The Cubs again won the 1907 and 1908. The Cubs however, lost the 1945 World Series and till date have not been able to recover past that loss. In 1984 the Cubs again did not make to the World Series and were defeated by the San Diego Padres. The expectation from the Cubs soared in 2002 after a wild card run in 2001 but they again could not content for the World Series. The year 2004 was not great either and finished with just 55 wins.

The Cubs have won the National League championships in the year 1906, 1907, 1908, 1910, 1918, 1929, 1932, 1935, 1938 and in the year 1945.

The Mascot Of The Cubbies

The official Cub started as a young beer cub. However, the Cubbies mascot has undergone several changes over the years.

The Fan - Following Of The Cubs

Though the Cubs have gone through highs and lows in its professional career, yet they have enjoyed great fan-following. The only time the Cubs have had a back to back winning was in the year 1972 and 1973, and then in the years 2003 and 2004. Despite the low winnings the Cubs remain one of the most loved League teams and their official attendance have put the Cubs regularly in the top 10.

The Star Cub Players

Joe Tinker, Johnny Evers and Frank Chance were three legendary Cubs, infielders who played from 1903 to 1912, and were the nucleus of one of the most dominant baseball teams. Other important members included Mordecai Brown, Ed Reulbach, Jack Taylor (20th century baseball player), Jack Pfiester and Orval Overall.

Morgan Dunn asked:

Fans who buy Pittsburgh Pirates tickets probably think that they are rooting for the best hitting team in the NL Central. However, there are a few other teams in this division who probably think that they have a claim to this distinction, not the least of which is the Chicago Cubs, a team with some impressive early stats to back up their case. Let’s take a look at some of the numbers going for the Cubs and the Pirates as we close out the month of May. Then, when you’re good and pumped about the Pittsburgh Pirates tickets or Chicago Cubs tickets you’re going to buy soon, start searching for some good deals.

Here’s the scoop on the Pirates’ offense: The Pirates are ranked No.4 in the National League in total runs scored (285), as of June 3, 2008. Adam LaRoche’s has not even had a comeback, and yet the Pirates are getting plenty of scoring opportunities. Ryan Doumit, Nate McClouth and Xavier Nady were all batting over .300 as of May 16th, 2008. The Pirates still lack home run power, but they are getting lots of hits, walks and doubles. It’s been a great year for offense in Pittsburgh. We can only hope that the Pirates can keep up the good work, as they are right in the thick of things in the NL Central. Who knows? If the Pirates can get LaRoche back on track, they might even be able to get to the top of the division standings. Anything’s possible right now. There could even be Pittsburgh Pirates tickets available for the playoffs.

And now the Cubs: As of June 3, 2008, the Cubs are the number one team in the National League in scoring runs. They have a total of 331 runs on the year. They have the second most hits (589), and the most doubles. Their home run power improved from last season, as they now have 63 home runs, the fifth best in the NL. Team batting average is the best in their league at .288. Basically, the Cubs could not have asked for a better start to the season as far as offense goes. If you are looking to see one of the best offenses in baseball, get some Chicago Cubs tickets for a game or two this summer!

So there you have it. The Cubs and the Pirates are both hitting the ball very well, and it would not be surprising to see either of these two teams make the playoffs behind the healthy hitting their doing. Buyers of Pittsburgh Pirates tickets and Chicago Cubs tickets will be hoping that they can keep up the power in the batters’ box.

Al Terry asked:

Diamondback tickets have always been in huge demand owing to the team’s consistent performance and superb play. Based in Phoenix, Arizona the D-backs, as they are commonly known as, are a part of the National League West of Major League Baseball’s National League. The team originated in 1995 when the bid for the team was awarded with $130 million fees paid to Major League Baseball.

The Colors, Logo And Mascot Of The D-Backs

The original colors of the team were Arizona turquoise and copper, black and purple, each having some significance. Turquoise was chosen because the greenish-blue stone is the homeland of Arizona, copper because Arizona is nation’s top copper producing state and purple because it was a color quite acceptable to the Arizona sports fans. The logo is a black “D” in the shape of snake and the mascot is D. Baxter the Bobcat.

The Origin And The Team’s History

Jerry Colangelo, majority share-holder of the Phoenix Suns in the fall of 1995 applied for a Major League Baseball expansion team and on March 9, 1995 he was awarded the franchise to begin the play for the 1998 season. The Diamondbacks played the first major league game against the Colorado Rockies at Bank One Ballpark in front of a huge gathering of more than 50,000. However, they lost the game.

In the first five years since their inception, the Diamondbacks have won three divisional titles in the year 1999, 2001 and 2002 and a World Series in the year 2001 where they defeated the New York Yankees and became the youngest expansion franchise to win the World Series in only fourth season of their play since inception. In 1999, the Diamondback won 100 games and won the National League West. The Diamondbacks won the NL West in 2002 but were defeated by the Cardinals in NDLS and eventually returned to the NDLS in 2007 where they emerged victorious defeating the Chicago Cubs.

The 2004 season witnessed the downfall of the Diamondbacks where they dropped to the record – the worst in Major League Baseball” Major League Baseball that year and also set one of the 10 worst records in the 100 year history of MLB. 2005 saw improvement where they witnessed a 26 game improvement over the previous year. The year 2006 failed to improve their performance wherein they stood fourth. The year 2007 saw the Diamondbacks with some changes in the uniform design and color scheme where the original colors were dropped for a reddish color - Sedona Red. The same year witnessed a young team comprising of Brandon Webb, Conor Jackson, Stephen Drew, Carlos Quentin, Chad Tracy, Chris Young, Miguel Montero, Mark Reynolds and Justin Upton. Overall the season was a success for the Diamondbacks.
