Bucks Tickets - the Bucks are Ready for Every Challenge This Season

July 13th, 2009

Al Terry asked:

Bucks tickets are worth every cent they cost. Though last year was a bit disappointing for the Bucks, the new season looks promising. They finished 41-41 and were at sixth place in the playoffs. This season, 2007-2008, the team has got a new head coach, Larry Krystkowiak. The team is sure to rebound with players like, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Yi Jianlian, Andrew Bogut, Charlie Villanueva, and Michael Redd.

How They Got the Name

The Milwaukee Bucks began their NBA franchise history in 1968. The Bucks got their name through a polling, which got more than 14,000 responses. Bucks was the unanimous choice. The Milwaukee Bucks play in the Central Division of the Eastern Conference. The team’s colors include Hunter Green, deep Red, Silver, and White. It has so far won one championship title in 1971 and two conference titles in 1971 and 1974 respectively. Besides these, it has won thirteen Division titles.

Home Arena

The Bucks initially played at the Mecca Arena from 1968-1988. Then in 1988, they shifted to the Bradley Center, where they continue to play until the present. Bucks tickets to the Bradley Center give the fans the feel of great history of the Bucks. When the team is playing at their home ground, fans are always out there in great numbers.

Their first season with the NBA was nothing to be remembered about. They were at the last spot in the Eastern Division. They drafted UCLA star, Lew Alcindor, who made a big impact on the team. Very soon the team went on to the finals of the NBA championship. The year was 1971 and no one thought that an expansion team would so quickly make it to the finals. However, they surprised everyone and went on to win the NBA championship in 1971.

This did wonders for the Bucks tickets, which became in high demand. In the 1980s, led by Bob Lanier and Sidney Moncrief, the team won seven division titles consecutively. Bucks came to be known as a team which would consistently make it to the playoffs each year.

1993-1994 season was not so great for the team, as they scored 20-62, their worst scores ever. This did not get them down though. The very next season, the team was awarded the first overall pick in the draft and they used this opportunity to pick Glenn “Big Dog” Robinson. In the 2000-2001 season, the team went on to the finals of the Eastern Conference and Robinson played a major role in this.

Great Hopes in 2007-2008

This season, the team is looking great and so are the prospects for the Bucks tickets. Michael Redd has just played with the Team USA Basketball and his experience there would surely help the Bucks. The fans are obviously hoping that their team make it to the playoffs and with a good line up nothing is impossible.

The Milwaukee Bucks tickets are available through authorized online ticket brokers. They offer premium tickets at very competitive rates. You just need to look around. Compare several authorized ticket brokers and select the one that is offering the best deal. You can order online or over the phone. Most brokers promise to deliver the tickets within 6 to 24 hours and they do fulfill their promise.

Miami Heat Tickets Feature An Angry Dwyane Wade

April 30th, 2009

Jay Nault asked:

These days, Miami Heat tickets should allow fans to see a team that’s on top of the world. The team won their first NBA championship last season, and they have a long-time centerpiece of the league in Shaquille O’Neal leading the way in star power and overall resident comedy. They also have perhaps the most dynamic young star in the basketball world in Dwyane Wade, a player who is achieving Jordan-level status with his unbelievable talent and performance in pressure situations.

However, all is not right currently with the Heat, and Wade has been speaking out in strange ways in recent days, calling out other stars such as Dirk Nowitzki and LeBron James, and this appears to be totally out of character for the usually positive and likeable superstar. Below we’ll take a look at why Wade may be frustrated, and we’ll make our best guess as to whether the Heat will return to their place atop the NBA this summer.

O’Neal’s Injuries

Shaq may be getting older, but even if he isn’t the physical freak he once was, he still commands an enormous amount of attention every time he plays. The problem is that he hasn’t been on the floor much lately, and that clearly makes everything harder for every other member of the team. Without Shaq demanding double teams in the paint on offense, the defense on the perimeter is tighter and teams are less hesitant to drive to the hoop on the other end of the floor.

Age

The Heat made the decision last summer to basically bring back the nucleus of players that won them the NBA title, and that included players such as Antoine Walker, Gary Payton and Alonzo Mourning, a local hero who at one time was able to move Miami Heat tickets all by himself. The problem with this strategy, however, is that age can catch up to basketball players quickly, and without the presence of young legs, this team has been playing tired lately, especially since the absence of O’Neal only creates more of a challenge for everyone involved.

What it all Means

The Heat currently sit two games under .500, and luckily for them, that still keeps them right in the thick of things in the watered-down Eastern Conference. Perhaps this is a team that is thinking of just getting into the playoffs and turning it up a notch at that point. That has worked in the past for other teams, but in reality, this team needs to get healthy and get fresh for the late-season and post-season run.

If they can do so, it still comes down to the fact that the Heat have two of the best players in the game, they won’t be facing a dynamic or dominant team in the Eastern Conference playoffs and will have at worst an even chance against anyone they face in the playoffs. Basically, Miami Heat tickets may still be an opportunity to see a team in the midst of a repeat of their championship run from a year ago, but it’s getting to be about time to kick it into a higher gear.

Washington Wizards Tickets

Peter Cohen asked:

Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards is a professional basketball team based in Washington, D.C. They are amongst seven teams in the Atlantic Division of the eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The franchise plays in the Verizon Center also known as “The Phone Booth” and wears jerseys of red, white and blue.

The Wizards started its NBA adventure in the 1961-62 season. They were then called Chicago Packers and they managed to win only 18 games in their first season. They changed their name to the Zephyrs in next season. Then in 1963, they became the Baltimore Bullets as the franchise moved to Baltimore, Maryland.  The 1964-65 NBA season saw first success for the team and they reached the playoffs for the first time. In the following season, the Bullets advanced to the Western Conference Finals but lost to Los Angeles Lakers.

The Washington Wizards have won NBA championship in 1978. They defeated the Seattle SuperSonics in 7 games and brought a professional sports championship to Washington D.C. for the first time in 36 years. They were the forerunners of that era as they also won four Conference titles in 1971, 1975, 1978 and 1979 and seven Division titles.

The Washington Wizards saw many modifications in their team, team jerseys and logos in years to come. The biggest of them came on May 15 1997, when the Bullets officially changed their logo and name to Washington Wizards. They entered the 1979 NBA Playoffs and finished the regular season at 54–28. In the playoffs the Bullets nearly blew a 3-1 series lead against the Atlanta Hawks, but managed to hold off the Hawks in 7 games.

This was the time when the Wizards started declining in their game and wins and didn’t advance to the playoffs for several years. They made some very good trades but in vain. A major transition came for the Wizards when in January 2000; Michael Jordan became the Washington Wizards’ president of basketball operations and minority owner. He dissociated himself from the ownership net year in 2001 and returned as player but he soon left the team because of internal some issues. The Wizards, however, didn’t showed improvement in their ratings and continued to miss important games.

A year after making the playoffs for the first time in 8 years, the 1997/98 season saw a new beginning for basketball in Washington. The team changed its name to Wizards fearing Bullets would endorse gun violence. The addition of a new logo and new uniforms and a new arena as the MCI Center in downtown Washington completed this change. MCI Center was opened on December 2nd with the Wizards beating the Seattle Supersonics 95-78.

At the MCI Center, the Wizards were hard to beat as they posted a 24-12 record. However, they would fall 1 game short of the playoffs as they concluded in 4th place with a 42-40 record. During the 2004-2005 season, the team posted their finest regular season record 45-37 in 26 years. It marked the first time the franchise had ever made the playoffs as the Wizards. The Wizs won their first playoff game since 1988 in Game 3 of the first round against the Chicago Bulls.

In Game 5, they took their first lead in a playoff series since 1986 and won against Chicago. In Game 6, they won their first playoff series in 23 years defeating the Chicago Bulls 94-91; also becoming only the ninth team in NBA history to win a playoff series after being down 0-2.

Boston Celtics Playoff Tickets – the Importance of Leadership in the Finals Versus the Los Angeles Lakers

October 22nd, 2008
playoff tickets
Derek Cowsert asked:

For owners of Boston Celtics playoff tickets, this is a magical time. Boston’s leaders are certainly less experienced when it comes to actual NBA Finals experience. Indeed, Kevin Garnett has been there, as has Sam Cassell, and coach Doc Rivers saw some time as a player. However, they must summon their collective experience and lead this team into a Finals that will see them rekindle one of the greatest sports rivalries of all time. The Lakers are finally back in the Finals, and they are ready to push the Cs to their limits in game one. Their leadership comes in the form of three men who have all been to the NBA Finals many times before – Kobe Bryant, Derek Fisher, and Phil Jackson. If these three men can settle down the rest of the team, who have no Finals experience, then this team has a chance to win the first game and the entire series. Will the Lakers’ more recent championship experience win out? Or will the Celtics prove that home court advantage and pure hunger and desire trump veteran leadership in game one? You’ll have to get your Boston Celtics playoff tickets to find out.

The Celtics are definitely lacking in pure championship leadership. While their coach saw his share of time as a player, he is fairly green as far as coaches go when it comes to playoff experience. He has learned and grown right before our very eyes in this postseason, but he still lacks the championship experience of the opposing coach. While Sam Cassell and KG have some experience in the final round of the playoffs, they haven’t been able to seal the deal, so they must instead focus on their determination and drive. The Celtics have three veteran leaders on this team in Ray Allen, KG and Paul Pierce. Their leadership has led this young team all the way to this point, and there is no reason for anyone to start doubting Boston now. The Boston Three Party is four wins away from an NBA Championship. If they stick with the leadership that brought them here and play their game, they will be raising another banner in the rafters in Beantown very soon.

The Lakers have all the trump cards in this series. Derek Fisher has been an amazing addition to this young team, and his veteran leadership has paid dividends for the Lake show. Though his reasons for coming to the Lakers may have more been that of a relationship of convenience – Fisher’s daughter has cancer and the best doctors are in L.A. – he is now one of the most important pieces in a very efficient team. Phil Jackson is of course the Zen Master. It has been a long, hard road for Phil Jackson, and at times he has clashed with Kobe Bryant – even going so far as to write his tell-all book – but the two have since patched things up, and the team is better than ever, mostly due to the growth of Kobe Bryant. Kobe has taken up the banner of team leader, and he is running away with it. After putting up his first MVP season, Bryant has the Lakers positioned to win it all. Another title will complete his transformation from selfish gunslinger to team unifier and leader.

What are you waiting for? This match-up promises to be a historic NBA Finals no matter what! Get your Boston Celtics playoff tickets right now!
