The team has also earned two American League pennants in the years of 1980 and 1985; and last but not least to top it all off they have had one successful participation in the World Series in the year 1985.  The team has also had several players added to the hall fame according to their performance, the three most recent ones are: Art Stewart, Mark Gubicza, Bret Saberhagen.

Kansas City Royals recent news:

Even though the Kansas City royals have not had a bright participation quite recently, there are several reasons to view the 2009 season with bright eyes.  Hillman has observed the team performance and based on that data gathered he is now able to tell what the areas he needs to work in order to turn things around and get the most out of the off-season.

Gil Meche and Zack Greinke have provided great contributions to the team and they add a solid foundation to the rotation and as Hillman says, it is sort of like the 1-2 combo punch of a boxer.

Al Terry asked:

Based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Blue Jays tickets sell like hot cakes as the team enjoys mass popularity and has a great fan following. Blue Jays are a professional baseball team and are members of the Eastern Division of Major League Baseball American League. Also known as “The Jays”, the name of the team originates from the name of a bird of the same name.

The Uniform colors of the Blue Jays include white, blue, silver, graphite and black and the logo consisted of the Blue Jays emerging out of the J. The teams’ motto is “It’s always game time”.

Origin And History Of The Blue Jays

The team came into existence in the year 1976 and the franchise was owned by Labatt Breweries with the major share and Imperial Trust and the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce as small holders. The team played its first game on April 7, 1977 against the Chicago White Sox which they won. However the win was the teams’ only success out of the 54 games played in the same year. In 1978 the team improved its performance but remained last with their record of 59-103. In 1980, the team’s original manager Roy Hartsfield was replaced by Bobby Mattick. Under Mattick the team’s performance improved with a 14-win over the previous year.

The team’s performance further improved under the aegis of the team’s new manager Bobby Cox in 1982 and with some of the good players like pitcher Dave Stieb. Jim Clancy and Luis Leal and the outfielder Lloyd Moseby and Jesse Barfield. The team won against the Baltimore Orioles improving their performance in the year 1983. The teams’ performance further improved in 1984 but they still stood a distant second behind Detroit Tigers, the World Series champion.

In 1985 the team won their first championship – The American League East Division title. The years 1986-1988 did not prove to be very fruitful for the team. In 1989, the SkyDome opened in the middle of the season for the team and they played their first game in the newly inaugurated stadium against the Milwaukee Brewers only to lose the same.

Outstanding Performances And Historical Happenings Of Blue Jays

The Blue Jays are the first team to win a World Series in Canada and also the first and only team outside the United States to win the World Series in the year 1992 and 1993. The team was also one of the first Major League Club to draw over 4 million fans in just one season helping push the sale of Blue Jays tickets. The year 1993 saw the team acquire some- the Blue Jays had seven All-Stars: outfielders Devon White and Joe Carter, infielders John Olerud and Roberto Alomar, starting pitcher Pat Hentgen, designated hitter Molitor and closer Duane Ward. The team lost in 1994 despite the huge expectations and dropped to a 55-6 record. In 1995 again the team’s performance dipped adversely affecting the attendance and also the sale of Blue Jays tickets after they lost to Boston Red Fox.

The Blue Jays have had their highs and lows during their professional career. Many times the team has faced attendance problems. However, the team has also witnessed one of the record attendances as well when the Blue Jays tickets have been in huge demand. One can even book Blue Jays tickets online with an authorized ticket broker without having to stand in long queues. What’s more! Al Terry asked:

The Chicago Cubs also known as “The Cubs” enjoy great fan-following and thus there is a great demand for Cubs tickets during the season. The Chicago Cubs are a professional baseball team based in Chicago, Illinois. The cubs are members and champions of the Central Division of Major League Baseball in the National League. The first game was played by the club in the year 1916 at Wrigley Field.

The Winnings And Losses

The great demand of the Cubs tickets can be owed to the early successes of the club setting a record of 9756 victories – for a franchise in one city – through the 2004 season. Nicknamed as the Cubbies, the Cubs are currently managed by Lou Piniella. Under the managerial-ship of Chance, the Cubs won four pennants and two title of the World Series in a span of five years. The Cubs again won the 1907 and 1908. The Cubs however, lost the 1945 World Series and till date have not been able to recover past that loss. In 1984 the Cubs again did not make to the World Series and were defeated by the San Diego Padres. The expectation from the Cubs soared in 2002 after a wild card run in 2001 but they again could not content for the World Series. The year 2004 was not great either and finished with just 55 wins.

The Cubs have won the National League championships in the year 1906, 1907, 1908, 1910, 1918, 1929, 1932, 1935, 1938 and in the year 1945.

The Mascot Of The Cubbies

The official Cub started as a young beer cub. However, the Cubbies mascot has undergone several changes over the years.

The Fan - Following Of The Cubs

Though the Cubs have gone through highs and lows in its professional career, yet they have enjoyed great fan-following. The only time the Cubs have had a back to back winning was in the year 1972 and 1973, and then in the years 2003 and 2004. Despite the low winnings the Cubs remain one of the most loved League teams and their official attendance have put the Cubs regularly in the top 10.

The Star Cub Players

Joe Tinker, Johnny Evers and Frank Chance were three legendary Cubs, infielders who played from 1903 to 1912, and were the nucleus of one of the most dominant baseball teams. Other important members included Mordecai Brown, Ed Reulbach, Jack Taylor (20th century baseball player), Jack Pfiester and Orval Overall.

Jeff asked:

Based in Boston, Massachusetts — the Red Sox are professional baseball team originally established in New York in 1901 but shortly after they moved to Boston, during that time the was known to be very strong and took on the toughest opponents; in 1903 they went up against the Pittsburgh Pirates and were able to overcome this difficulty team during the first world series the same year.  The team stood strong until 1918 after gathering 4 more titles since 1903 but then something went seriously wrong as a team went into one of the longest championship droughts in baseball history, some attribute the bad luck to the sale of Babe Ruth from the Red Sox to the New York Yankees in 1918, Babe Ruth was known as the Bambino and the effects of the trade in conjunction with the Bad luck were known as “the curse of The Bambino”.

This curse was taken seriously by many fans and the players who many years later realized that they had completely lost its strength they displayed at the beginning but, it wasn’t until 2004 when the curse was broken and they came back stronger than ever.  The owners of the team are: John Henry, Tom Werner and Larry Lucchino; the manager is Henry Francona and the general manager is Theo Epstein. The team’s ballpark is the Fenway Park.

Important moments and accomplishments

The Red Sox are all about accomplishments in fact, they are the current champions of both the American League Eastern division and the American League itself.  The team holds six division Titles, 12 Pennants and seven World Series Titles; some people argue that the team would have a lot more World Series appearances and participations if it wasn’t for the Bambino’s curse.

Get Red Sox Tickets and Watch Mlb Action Live!

Al Terry asked:

Fans want Red Sox tickets, come what may. Red Sox, a professional baseball team based in Boston, Massachusetts are currently the reigning World Champions. The “Red Sox” nicknamed the BoSox are one of the American League’s eight charter franchises.

The name ‘Red Sox’ refers to the red hose in the team uniform. Their club was founded in Boston in 1901. A member of the Major League and of the American League, the Fenway Park has been the team’s ballpark since 1912.

Early History

The Red Sox have an interesting history. Pittsburgh Pirates were their arch rivals in their first World Series in early 1990s. By 1918, the Red Sox won its fifth World Series. Soon after began one of the longest championship droughts in baseball history called the “Curse of the Bambino”. This is in reference to the tradeoff of Babe Ruth to the New York Yankees in 1920. Thereafter, the team’s fortunes changed only after 2004, when the team won their sixth World Series Championship.

During the 1900s, New York Highlanders were the main rivals of the Red Sox. Through this period, several players helped the newly named Red Sox recover the game. Fans bought Red Sox tickets and cheered Center fielder Tris Speaker, Duffy, Tris Speaker, Harry Hooper, Joe Wood and Lewis Smokey.

Joseph Lannin, the owner signed Babe Ruth on, who propelled the team to a winning streak of the World Series through 1915-1918. Baby Ruth was like a magnet for baseball lovers who bought Red Sox tickets to watch him play. However, in January 2, 1920, after Babe Ruth was sold to the rival New York Yankees, the “Greatest Rivalry on Earth” began. More sales of players like Schang, Harry Harper, Mike McNally Everett Scott, and Bullet Joe Bush followed leading to Red Sox’s poor show in the 1920s and 1930s. From 1925 to 1932, the only bright spot of the team was Earl Webb.

Red Sox, Tom Yawkey And Star Players

It was only after 1933 that the Red Sox saw a change in their bad fortune. Tom Yawkey bought the Red Sox and it was his for the next 70 years. Yawkey brought in Williams, one of the greatest hitters of all time. With Williams, the Red Sox reached the 1946 World Series.

The 1950s was a period of distress for the Red Sox. A decade later, year 1967 gave a fresh lease of life to the team with Yastrzemski and Tony Conigliaro, the youngest player in Major League Baseball to hit his 100th home run. In the 1970s, Fred Lynn won both the American League Rookie of the Year award and the Most Valuable Player award. The 1978 playoff game, against the Yankees was the closest that the Red Sox got to the World Series through the decade.

In the 1980s, the team’s fortunes changed again with exceptional performances by Jim Rice, Dwight Evans, Don Baylor, and future Hall of Famer Wade Boggs.

The Red Sox won the AL East for the first time in 11 seasons. Postseason 1988, Joe Morgan took over as GM and the club won 12 games in a row, in what is referred to till date as ‘Morgan Magic’.

During the 1990s period, the Red Sox had some success, but were unable to return to the caliber of a World Series’ team. Yet the 1996 season had its individual highlights. Roger Clemens tied his major league record. Tony Armas, Jr. and Carl Pavano were the star players in this period.

Red Sox From Year 2002 Till Date

Year 2002, saw Epstein become the youngest general manager in the history of the Major Leagues. The Red Sox faced the St. Louis Cardinals again in the 2004 World Series and went on to win the game, notching its first World Series in 86 years with some terrific playing. Shortly, Jason Varitek was named the team captain.

Theo Epstein became the General Manager. As the GM, Epstein restocked the team for 2007. He negotiated an agreement with Japanese star pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka and Julio Lugo and brought them into the team. In the 2007 World Series, the Red Sox defeated the Colorado Rockies and captured their second World title in four years.

There is no looking back for the Red Sox now. If you have not managed to get Red Sox tickets, go online and contact a broker to deliver the tickets to your doorstep. Be a part of all that live pumping action with Red Sox tickets.
