The fx-3650P II is a powerful, officially approved scientific calculator and an improved model of the fx-3650P and fx-3950P. It features a 2-line big display (16-character dot-matrix on the first line, 10-character 7-segment on the second line) that shows both the formula and the answer simultaneously. Its core functionality includes 308 built-in functions, covering complex number calculations, permutation and combination, fraction calculations, differentiation and integration, and base-n calculations/conversions (binary/octal/hexadecimal).

This model comes with BASIC-like programming capabilities, featuring 4 program areas with a total capacity of 390 bytes (approximately 360 program steps), and includes an automatic parenthesis insertion feature. For statistics, it includes a STAT data editor for standard deviation and regression analysis. A multi-replay function is also included, making it easy to trace back and edit previous calculation steps.

The fx-3650P II is powered by a dual power supply system (solar cell / LR44 button battery), with an approximate battery life of 3 years (based on 1 hour of use per day), and features an auto power-off function to save power.
